Newsletter Friday 18th September 2026
Dear Parents/Carers,
Today I am at the Bishop’s Study Day today so a shorter than usual newsletter for you to digest.
Thank you to everyone who came to the family ‘Booknic’ on Tuesday. The field was full of children and families enjoying stories in the sunshine. This is the first of a few new events happening this year as we try and encourage some more events where parents can get in to school and see what’s going on.
I would also like to thank the Year 5 and Year 6 parents who came to the Assembly on Tuesday hosted by Mrs Dwyer from Sacred Heart Secondary School. On Thursday it is the day the nurses visit the school for Flu Immunisations.
Parent Council First Meeting of the New School Year: I would like to meet with the newly formed Parent Council now that the new Year has settled. The first meeting will take place on Wednesday 7th October at 9am. I am looking forward to meeting regularly to discuss what the school does well and what we might do even better.
Harvest Assembly: Friday 2nd October we will be collecting tinned goods again for the local Foodbank. Please can all donations be placed in the school hall throughout the week of Monday 28th September. Visitors are invited to our Harvest Assembly where we will sing a few traditional Autumnal Songs. This will take place at 2.15pm.
